Your birth time is of the most critical importance in the calculation of a correct birth chart. With the birth time the astrologer (or program) is able to locate the planets in relationship to their position around the earth, most notably the relationship of the planets to the Horizon & Verticle Meridian. By locating the planets in the twelve houses of astrology, their influence is able to be referenced to a specidfic department of life. This has far reaching consequences for how one expeiriences Personal Life Cycles, as the various cycles of the planets will be associated with these different departments of life in a unique and personal way. Many times you can count on a parent for accurate data of the birth time. Sometimes you cannot. The written record is always good to refer to for events long past. However, not all birth records are accurate just because they were written down. Sometimes they are a few minutes off or perhaps have the wrong day but the right time.
