The Significance Behind "What's Your Sign?"

"What's your sign?" You've heard it, likely with a smile, as a line from the singles scene. Most people, though, know their own answer and at least a little bit about what it means. When it comes to being serious about astrology, Sun Signs add insight into individuals. When combined with birth time information, which provides a snapshot of the positions of the planets at the time you entered the world, the impact can be quite powerful. I like to think of it as an informed guide that can help you work your way through your world. It has its own science and its own mathematical calculations. As an astrologer, I am always excited by the enthusiasm that I encounter when people find out what I do for a living. People want to know about themselves, and then they quickly want to know about what their romantic adventures may entail. It makes for some interesting conversations indeed. Astrology.net began as a way for me to teach myself HTML and quickly caught on as a repeat destination for those surfing the Web. I could not be more pleased at finding such a large response to astrological interests. Our newfound family of iVillage has inspired us to catalyze our sense of community. We want to bring the fascination with astrology to the forefront and use it to learn more about each other. My role is to provide the foundation for you to learn more about yourself, your relationships and astrology. I invite you to explore the role that astrology can play in your life, whether it be purely for fun or for serious study. To follow suit, our message board this week features the question you've all been eagerly waiting to answer. It gives a whole new intention to an old line -- thank goodness. So, what is your sign and what does it mean to you? Will the Geminis who have the gift of gab outnumber the precise presence of the Virgos? We will just have to see.
