"Seinfeld" Says Goodbye

It all came to an end on May 14th, 1998. Jerry didn't end up with Elaine after all, and the Soup Nazi is dishing his particular brand of brew to a different neighborhood crew. Nine seasons seemed about right to Jerry Seinfeld, who with co-creator Larry David put out a weekly session of the arcane and mundane which mirrored the times. And what of that fab four, Jerry and Elaine and George and Kramer? Were they really acting? or is art imitating life here? The *stars* have the inside scoop. Birth Details: Jerry: April 29, 1954 - Brooklyn, NY Julia: January 13, 1961 - New York, NY Jason: September 23, 1959 - Newark, NJ Michael: July 21, 1948 - Los Angeles, CA Born under a Taurus Sun, Jerry Seinfeld is nothing if not stubborn. He's also someone who works mainly for the material rewards which his efforts can Jerry Seinfeld bring. Can you say a million a week? His Sun's opposition to Saturn in Scorpio seems to reinforce this trait, making his word the law (on the set, at least) and highlighting the financial aspects of his persona. With Mercury in Aries, Seinfeld is quick with words, although he doesn't always mean what he says. This comedian often uses humor as a shield for the self, perhaps because he was stifled as a kid. Having his Mercury opposite Saturn fuels this aspect. On a personal level, Seinfeld's Venus in Gemini tells us he needs someone who can keep up with him intellectually. At the end of the day, though, it's the Brooklynite's Mars in Capricorn which paints him as a highly ambitious sort happy to climb his way to the top. Since he's already there, so we can only hope he likes the view! Julia Louis-DreyfusSeinfeld's fairer sidekick, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, was born under a Capricorn Sun, and she also has Mercury, Saturn and Jupiter forming a stellium in Capricorn. This tells us that she's a very ambitious woman, someone who knows what she wants and is also responsible and stable. Certainly more stable than Elaine! This stellium also has the same influence as Seinfeld's Sun opposite Saturn, making these two quite compatible. With her Mars in Cancer, family is important to Louis-Dreyfus, and it would have been hard for her to balance career and family if the show had gone on for a long time. It's her Venus opposite Pluto, however, which makes her as intense as she is, and why being the conscience of this cast of characters seemed to come so naturally. Jason AlexanderEveryone's favorite mensch, Jason Alexander, was born under a Virgo Sun, specifically at the 29th degree of Virgo, the last degree of Virgo. This positioning makes him very earthy, much like fellow Earth-signers Seinfeld and Louis-Dreyfus. Like his two colleagues, the money which "Seinfeld" brought made him happy. Unlike Seinfeld, though, who really made a bundle here, Alexander would have been happy to go on with the show and make even more dough. With his North Node, Mercury and Mars in Libra, the comic's life is destined to be one where words are his stock in trade, and the quicker and wittier the better. This man is a natural for both comedy and writing, and you'll rarely get the better of him in a verbal joust. Since his North Node resides in Libra, however, he has a concern for others which will soften the edges of his repartee. Thanks to his Venus in Leo, Alexander has a flair for the dramatic and revels in the perks that come with success. Bringing up the rear is Michael Richards, whose Sun is in Cancer. The four cast members are all compatible according to their Sun signs, which helps to explain the success of the show. Richards' Cancer Sun Michael Richardstells us that he acts out his feelings, often drawing on past experiences to paint a picture. Dealing in feelings as opposed to logic keeps this funny man laughing. With his Venus in Gemini, all things mental are important to the comic. He and Seinfeld share the ability to banter back and forth, thanks to their intellectual compatibility. There's a lot of Air in the charts of the three male cast members -- you might say that Louis-Dreyfus kept order while her colleagues were happy to wreak chaos! It's Mars in Libra which signals the importance of relationships to Richards, as well as a need for mental stimulation. Keeping the peace is where it's at for this very creative man.
