What is the connection between the Internet and Astrology?

Technology and Astrology are star-crossed - both are ruled by the sign Aquarius, and both are about to undergo tremendous growth and acceptance in the approaching "Age of Aquarius". An astrological age is a period of approximately two thousand years, and is ruled by a particular sign which exerts a broad influence on world affairs and cultures. Currently we are in the Age of Pisces, which began roughly around 1 A.D. The Age of Pisces is a spiritual age that gave birth to many religious leaders such as Buddha, Zoroaster, Confucius, Lao-tse, Martin Luther, Paramahansa Yogananda, Mother Theresa and Mohandas Gandhi. However, the Age of Pisces is waning, and we are now moving into the Age of Aquarius. This age heralds great technological strides, a new society based on humanitarian principles, further space exploration and colonization, and the acceptance of astrology into the behavioral and social sciences. Year 2000 AD is the estimated start of the Age of Aquarius, although signs of the approaching era have been building since the beginning of the 20th century. Indeed, technology and astrology have both been growing at a record pace. Tom Miller of FIND/SVP's Emerging Technology Research Group notes that there are now 40-45 million total US Adult Internet users - a startling statistic when compared to the relatively small commercial lifespan of the Internet. That statistic becomes even more interesting when coupled with the growing acceptance of astrology. As mentioned above, Roper Starch worldwide surveys reports that the past eight years have seen a 30 percent increase in the belief of astrology. The 1996 report, published in USA Today, noted that one out of four Americans believe in astrology, with the fastest increase among executives and professionals. The Age of Aquarius is truly upon us, and the stars indicate increasing growth for both technology and astrology, as well as new opportunities for the two to work together.
