Yes, the Oscars have come and gone. Titanic sailed away with most of the awards, although some of Hollywood's faves also took the golden boy home. Amid all the talk of screenplays and acting, was anyone even listening? The real fun at the Academy Awards is checking everyone out. Who's a fashion do? don't? is her necklace real? and what did she do to her hair?? Thanks to the *stars*, here's our Academy Awards Fashion Report, the last word (celestially, that is) on style. Aquarius Sign Aquarian Minnie Driver looked sensational in a red Halston gown, a cascade of curls tumbling down her back. There's plenty of fire in this Aquarian's chart, which may explain her color choice. It also sheds some light on theMinnie Driver acrimonious break-up between Driver and her Good Will Hunting co-star, Matt Damon. The Best Screenplay Oscar went to Damon, which means that Driver is probably hopping mad! A confluence of planets in Sagittarius tell us this young beauty is a hothead par excellence. Oh well, she did look like a million bucks. Libran Kate Winslet chose a rather discreet, long-sleeved dress from the house of Givenchy. With her Venus in Virgo, the Titanic star can be quite shy, accounting for the low-key look. This young actress has her Sun, Moon, Mercury and Pluto in Libra, indicating that she yearns for someone in her life to validate her. No surprise here, as Winslet showed up at the Oscars arm-in-arm with her new beau. Was this her big moment? Her chart indicates that we may not hear from Winslet again for quite some time -- hopefully not as long as it took co-star Gloria Stuart to resurface! Kate Winslet Sagittarian Kim Basinger looked every inch the princess in a green satin dress with a cowl neckline and plunging back. Kim BasingerThe soft wave in her golden hair evoked her winning look in L.A. Confidential, for which she took home a Best Supporting Actress Oscar. Her Sun in Sagittarius is proof positive that Basinger knows how to create a world of make-believe, both in acting and in fashion. With Marsconjunct Neptune, it's likely that Basinger knew for quite some time what she'd wear to the Academy Awards. Thanks to Mars and Neptune in Libra, it's also very important to the actress that she look good. Her fashion performance on Oscar night was a winner all around. Gemini Helen Hunt made a simple statement in an ice-blue strapless number courtesy of Calvin Klein. But Helen, what about accessories? Quibbling aside, it's this actress' Mars, Mercury and Pluto in Virgo which make her picky and not at all dissimilar from her winning turn in As Good As It GetsHelen Hunt (as well as her popular character on TV's Mad About You). All that Virgo in her chart also make this actress a bit of a plain Jane, someone who is humble and doesn't want to be overstated. Even so, she should have worn a necklace -- and yes, the hair could have been a bit softer. It's unlikely that Hunt is worrying about any of this, though, since she did take home the Best Actress statuette. Cancer Sign Cancerian Robin Williams was styling in an Armani tux which featured a long coat and bow-less white shirt. His Venus in Leo tells us that the beloved comedian exaggerates for the fun of Robin Williamsit but also has a flair for the dramatic and excellent taste. Williams' Saturn and Neptune in Libra spell even more good taste and a fine aesthetic as well as a burning desire to impress others. Now that he can count a Best Supporting Actor Oscar (for Good Will Hunting) among his many awards, he should impress just about everyone. Safe to say he'll look good in the process! Virgo Sign Virgoan Cameron Diaz opted for a hippie-chick look in an accordion-pleated top and flowy skirt. What was she thinking?! Being a Virgo, it's obvious she went to great pains to achieve this look. Her Neptune in Sagittarius helps explain this far-out get-up somewhat. However, the fact that Diaz' Sun is squared by dreamy Neptune tells us this pretty girl didn't have a clue this look would bomb. Cameron Diaz Arian Ashley Judd wore the sexiest dress of the evening, a cream-colored gown with a slit to here. The nightmare, however, was the patch of gardenias pinned to the side of her head, making her look like a potted plant from the neck up. How to explain this? Well, Arian Judd appears to be fairly self-centered, affecting an air of false confidence in the Ashley Judd process. A desire to draw attention to herself at all costs compels the actress to dress provocatively. If this look was judged from the neck down, it was a hit with every man in the audience. Cher Taurean Cher reminded us of her old pal Bob Mackie in a number which can only be described as, well, Cher. Her beaded gown was topped with a tri-cornered hat that must have driven those seated behind her crazy. It's Taurus Sign Cher's Mars in Leo which makes her a drama queen and someone who needs constant attention. We're not suggesting she start wearing Calvin Klein, but there must be some middle ground. In the meantime, the actress' Pluto conjunctMars speak to regeneration and action. What will be her next act? Showy, no doubt! Aries Sign Arian Celine Dion was outfitted in a simple, long-sleeved sheath, a sensible counterpart to her necklace, the "Star of the Sea" dazzler from the film Titanic. Thanks to her Mars in Taurus, the songbird is materialistic and clothes make her very, very happy. With any kind of luck, the proceeds from the hugely-successful Titanic album will allow Dion to purchase the mega-necklace! Celine Dion Leo SignLeo Madonna couldn't help but make an impression at the Academy Awards, this time in a plunging black overcoat over a pouffy gray tulle skirt. Biker chick meets the Princess Bride? Hard to say, but a strong Leo presence in her chart makes Madonna one tough cookie, helping to explain that hard look.Madonna With her Mars in Taurus, the Material Girl is just that, while her Moon, Mercury and Pluto in Virgo signal a tough businesswoman who won't be denied.
